Puno

Puno's is a typical Peruvian town - a main square, a mall and some hotels. I didn't find too much to photograph in the time we spent there. One thing that did catch my eye was this nifty wine mug I drank from at a restaurant.

Travel is a fickle thing. The lady who was sitting to my left (out of shot; that's Kirsten sitting opposite me) got food poisoning from her meal. She was crook for several days.

At the table behind us (top right) is another bunch of Australians, unknown to us. Is it just me, or do most Aussies sound like yobbos when you come across them overseas? The rest of our tour group were Brits and Canadians.

Puno is located on the shores of Lake Titicaca. It's our kick-off point for a tour of some of the larger islands in the lake.
